I was blind. Everything was in a  deep darkness. My breath was heavy, consumed by the heat outside. It was the hot summer day but I couldn't see anything. I lied in the razor green grass, attempting to appreciate the last few days of the heat wave. I smelled the fresh barbecue, the chicken the beef and the hot dogs. I knew this might be the last few days of my life. I just came back from the hospital. The news was unnerving. I had a tumor and cancer in my brain. Its hard to say goodbye to the ones you love. Especially, when you don't feel the love back. I was abandoning everyone without a choice. This was my goodbye. "Cheli! It's time to eat." The next day I never woke up.
